VALUE. COMMITMENT. VISIONARY.
Let’s make
a difference.
ABOUT GEORGE
Dear voters,
I came to Lemon Grove in 1994 with my wife Janet and our three children. We came here for the same reasons many people do–great schools, a good community feel, and a house we could afford! I have had the honor of serving on the Lemon Grove School Board as well as the City Council. Serving this community has been a joy for me, both in good times and in hard times. I believe my experience can make a big difference in tackling the issues our city has to face right now.
Our small city can do great things. Working together, we can improve our parks and our recreation opportunities, strengthen our infrastructure, and make our city more beautiful. We must also maintain high quality police protection and emergency services, while strengthening the connections between service personnel and the community. I will also continue working to help our local businesses thrive, and to encourage new businesses.
Lemon Grove is currently using one-time federal funding to make improvements in our streets and stormwater infrastructure. To continue this progress, the city has put a one-cent sales tax measure on the November ballot. I encourage voters to support it. As a Council member, I will be working hard to make sure our city is getting the most out of every dollar we have to spend.
I believe we can accomplish a great deal if we work together on a shared vision. If you have time to connect with me, I would love to hear about your vision for our city.
Warm regards,
George Gastil
