I moved to Lemon Grove in 1994 with my wife Janet and our three sons.

I had the honor of serving as one of your City Council members from 2008-2016. Before joining the Council, I served ten years on the Lemon Grove School Board. Serving this community has always been a joy for me, both in good times and in hard times.
Since leaving public office, I have continued to be active in the community. I helped start the Lemon Grove Community Garden. I served as an officer in our local Lions Club. The City of Lemon Grove and the Lions Club sponsored a drive-thru food distribution program. I also helped lead a recent effort to pass a sales tax to help fund our city services.

I enjoyed taking a break from local government, but now I am eager to get back in there and take on the challenges I see in Lemon Grove. I do think my experience could make a big difference in tackling the issues our city has to face right now.
I believe our small city can do great things. Working together, we can improve our parks and our recreation opportunities, strengthen our infrastructure, and make our city more beautiful. We must also maintain high quality police protection and emergency services, while strengthening the connections between service personnel and the community. I will also be working to help our local businesses thrive, and to encourage new businesses.

None of this will be easy, but I believe we can accomplish a great deal if we work together on a shared vision. If you have time to connect with me, I would love to hear about your vision for our city.
