Dear Voters:
I moved to Lemon Grove in 1994 with my wife Janet and our three sons. We came to Lemon Grove for the same reasons many people do--great schools, a good community feel, and a house we could afford!
I have had the honor of serving as one of your City Council members since 2008. Before joining the Council, I served ten years on the Lemon Grove School Board. Serving this community has always been a joy for me, both in good times and in hard times.

Hard times brought out the best in Lemon Grove. We showed how cohesive, resilient, and creative this city can be! Now that the economy is improving, I want to continue in that spirit.
I am running for Mayor because I believe our small city can do great things.
Working together, we can improve our parks and our recreation opportunities, strengthen our infrastructure, and make our city more beautiful. We must also maintain high quality police protection and emergency services, while strengthening the connections between service personnel and the community. I will also be working to help our local businesses thrive, and to encourage new businesses that will appeal to our residents.
None of this will be easy, but I believe we can accomplish a great deal if we work together on a shared vision. If you have time to connect with me, I would love to hear about your vision for our city.
Warm regards,

George Gastil
